Le Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É.
announces its post-secondary programming for 2011-2012

Le Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É., formerly known as the Société éducative de l’Î.-P.-É., is pleased to announce its programming for the 2011-2012 school year. Since September 2006, the college has been offering post-secondary programs through partnerships with other teaching institutions, such as the New Brunswick Community College and the Cégep de St.Félicien in Quebec. However, on June 23, 2008, the college was granted official status by the province of P.E.I. and is now recognized as the only francophone community college in the province.

In September 2006, a new training centre was established in Charlottetown at the Carrefour de l’Isle-Saint-Jean and in September 2007, one was also established in the new community centre in West Prince. However, our Charlottetown campus has been relocated to the BDC Place on 119, Kent Street. Post-secondary programs will now be delivered from Wellington, Charlottetown and Deblois. Le Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. now accepts registrations for its upcoming post-secondary programs, which are equipped with video conferencing systems and computerized data networks in order to facilitate distance learning.

Adults needing basic training towards obtaining their grade 12 equivalency or their grade 12 academic certificate can also register in one of our centres. Those who need to work towards writing their GED exams can also receive this training through le Collège Acadie Î.-P.-É. In addition, adults wanting to change careers or who would like to be better prepared to enter the work force can sign up to follow a 20-week program and explore the different options available to them and develop their personal and professional skills.

For further information on the above mentioned post-secondary programs, please communicate with the registrar at 902.854.3010, or call toll free at 1.877.854.3010. You can also visit our website at www.collegeacadieipe.ca for additional information.

Training services are also available to businesses and community organisations depending on the demand and need specified. For more information on this service, please communicate with Colette Aucoin.
