Bilingual Administrative Assistant

This 2 year program is designed to prepare students for a career in the rapidly changing office environment. In addition to up-to-date word processing, spreadsheets and database software, the content of the program covers current technologies such as graphics, multimedia, desktop publishing, web page design, and computerized accounting. Furthermore, courses in interpersonal skills and business writing emphasize the importance of clear, courteous, and accurate oral and written communication.

In addition to mastering new software packages, emphasis is placed on developing confidence in problem solving, selecting and interpreting data and taking individual responsibility for the quality of output. Students complete the program with an understanding of their importance as a team member.

The curriculum is constantly being reviewed and upgraded to reflect the needs of the industry.

Admission requirements
  • High School Diploma or the equivalent :
    • Adult High School Diploma
    • GED Diploma of High School Equivalency
Employment opportunities

Graduates have found employment as office managers, executive assistants, managerial-level support staff, trainers, sales executives, secretaries, and receptionists. Graduates have the advantage of an in-depth knowledge of business office systems and computer skills in a variety of software packages. Employers have described graduates of this program as professional, multi-tasking individuals who are easily able to adapt to the demands of the work setting.
