Practical Nursing Program

The Practical Nursing Program is designed to help students gain the knowledge and skills required to provide primary health care services to a variety of clients. During this two year program, theoretical, laboratory and clinical practice will allow students to learn the skills necessary to give the proper care needed.
Successful completion of the program will allow students to write the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination (CPNRE), which is designed to assure the skills required to work as a licensed practical nurse are practiced in both an efficient and secure way. Upon completion of the CPNRE exam, students will be certified as Licensed Practical Nurses.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or the equivalent :
- Adult High School Diploma
- GED Diploma of High School Equivalency
- Medical certification indicating the fitness of the applicant
- Criminal Record Check
- Immunization for Hepatitis B and Tuberculosis
- Completion of grade 11 or 12 Biology
- Completion of grade 11 or 12 Math
