Wellington, PEI, December 20, 2014 – Starting in January, anyone who is looking for a change, thinking about a new career or looking to upgrade skills while continuing to work will be able to study part-time for a certificate or diploma at Collège de l'Île

Reanne Buckland is a part-time student in the Collège's Early Childhood Educator program. She is working full-time in her field of study at l'Île Enchantée, a daycare in Charlottetown. "I already had a good job, but I wanted to continue my post-secondary education while keeping my job at the daycare. That made studying part-time a perfect choice for me. Besides being very happy with my experience at Collège de l'Île, I like being able to study in French on the Island."

Students can take a course at Collège de l'Île while remaining on the job market. The following college-level certificate or diploma programs are open to part-time students: Bilingual Administrative Assistant, Accounting Clerk, Early Childhood Educator, Human Services, Youth Worker, Resident Care Worker, and Welding.

All programs taught at Collège de l'Île are designed to certify graduates for positions in fields where Island employers are looking for qualified employees, and studying in these areas is a good investment in your long-term quality of life. The Collège is also an excellent option for post-secondary studies because of its very favourable teacher-student ratio. The Collège works hard to coach all its students to succeed.
